Hey all,
I am so glad you are enjoying the report of our trip...I will tell you that Sharon is just as amusing in person! We all love these trips and have a great time no matter what happens. Once you find the perfect fit in travel partners, there is no going back.
Amy
Someone asked for the link to our first trip..here is part 1. I hope it works. Also, I don't post that often so clicking on my name should get you there fairly easily.

Thanks, Amy. Ah, yes, how could I forget about poor Raynell and how devastated she was not to get butter with her bread.
Amy, you must have a pretty good sense of humor yourself if you don't mind being referred to as "La Diabla." Heh.

Sharon - hilarious. Loved every minute of it. Your descriptions are so vivid that I felt I was with the three of you.
Amy -thanks for posting the link to the first thread as it was every bit as good as the second.
Will look forward to your next trip posting.

Forgot to say - I recognize myself in Amy. It's not on the spreadsheet!! I do have a spreadsheet of lodging choices for our trip in June 2008 to Scotland... each column gives the rooms available (we have 7 travelers), the prices per person in USD, their location, website, and 'quaintness' factor

Sharon -- what a wonderful report! You've captured so much of my experience in Paris earlier in the year...and make me want to return! Great job (I think you should send it to one of the Travel magazines and see if they'll offer you a job).

Ah, but if Amy is along for the Women With Money Tour, will you be ALLOWED to rest every other day!
I've been Amy in the past, and am trying to mend my ways. Rather than schedule things every day, I have learned to plan things for myself - and if others wish to join, they may. If not, they can stay at home and rest (which, imho, I can do just as easily at home, why travel 3000 miles to REST???)

hi, sharon,
thanks so much for the report - i really enjoyed reading about your trials and tribulations.
your description of Versailles reminded me of when my DH was working in Paris one very cold spring about 25 years ago - we scheduled a trip to Versailles on one of the [then] only 4 sundays that they turned on the fountains - I've never been colder in my life and that includes -25C.
i liked the description of your breakfasts as well. Chocolat chaud and coke light make a stunning combination - are they consumed concurrently or consecutively? as with prion sentences, it really makes a difference!

regards, ann

Amy is NOT going on the Women With Money Tour. She really is going to China for her job so her mother (Saundra) and I are going to Paris ourselves. We intend to enjoy ourselves, rest when we want, spend all day in museums instead of on endless purse quests and sit in every cafe we see. She's not the boss of us!!!!

After laughing hysterically, I tried to post a query asking for a link to the 2005 trip report -- but somehow it didn't show up
.
Thanks to SharonG's sister, I found the first part of it, the Rome segment -- but could not access the vital portion involving Le Clip!!
When u click on SG's name, she's been such a prolific contributor that 150 postings only takes one back to early 2006 -- and apparently Fodor's doesn't track more than that number.
Does anyone else have a link to the FIRST Paris trip by the TRio of Terror -- or some other way to access it?? My e-mail is [email protected]. I live in hope!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Amy spent the weekend with me and we re-created the trip from memory, our journals and the liberal applications of chocolate chip cookies. It was fun to relive the trip. Okay, some of it was fun, after all, I was "with the Amy".

As soon as I saw TN Trio in the title I was already laughing, I just knew it was going to be great. Can Fodor's get SharonG lined up with an agent quick - after the Women With Money trip she will have enough material for an entire book.
