Thanks flanneruk for mentioning the transportation options to the area. Since we hired our van near London we didn't use any public transport at all. I neglected to mention that for the benefit of dainty23.
jamekins - wow! the photo link actually worked!

Unfortunately the link won't open for me at all - I can get Mary's 'home page' but when I click on 'view photobook' it just comes up as 'operation aborted'.
But a great trip report, I've enjoyed it very much... from a Gloucestershire resident who lives just a few miles off the Cotswold Way, and in fact I drive across it several times a day between Randwick and Selsley/Kings Stanley!
I'd still love to view your pictures though - can anyone offer advice on how I can view them?

Mary, what a great trip report.
I have often thought I would like to do a walking holiday and we are planning on a walking trip in Tuscany for either 2009 or 2010 with another couple. Your report just makes me all the more determined to make sure that we get our act together with our friends and pull it off.
The Cotswolds are a fabulous area with so much to see and do. It encompasses much of what I think of as being quintessentially English. I would go back there in a heartbeat given a chance.
