Express bus - Heathrow to Oxford - 3 nights.
Pick up car in Oxford & drive to Cotswold 5 nights>

Agree spot on with janis - if just staying in those cities 3 nights you may wish you had moved on earlier

another neat day trip by car or bus from Oggsford goes to Woodstock and famous Blenheim Palace - maybe hit on way to Cotswolds.

In Devon Moor, on its western edge we really enjoyed a visit to Buckfast Abbey- also the potent liqueur the monks brew up and sell.

Hmmm. Using Oxford to recover from jetlag, thus the 3 nights. Will think about cutting a night in Bath though. Thanks and also for the additional ideas.

If looking for something relaxing in Oxford and like to walk take the towpath along the Thames (Isis) north of town a few miles thru bucolic scenery to a riverside pub lunch (there is one popular pub I walked to).

I started on this board with my real name a million years ago and & at some point realized that wasn't a great idea. I sent you a friend request on FB.
