Trip Itinerary

Hi all,

Well, after months of planning and many different plans discussed, here is our itinerary for our summer vacation:

- Fly into Berlin for 6 nights
- Fly direct to Rhodes for 7 nights
- Fly back to Berlin for 3 nights, using this time to see Potsdam and the surrounding area
- Fly home

May seem simple, but we have heard from many people just how wonderful Berlin is and how much there is to see and do. It seems to have become one of Europe's top cities of choice.

As well, we had initially reserved flights to Sardinia, but then decided to change it for Rhodes as Rhodes seems to be more interesting and lively. We are staying at a Rhodes town hotel with a pool and then we will have a car for a few days in order to discover the island and spend a few days at one of Rhodes' gorgeous beaches.

Let me know what you all think and if there are any restaurants in Berlin and Rhodes you recommend for dinner and what special things we should put on our list to see in both places.

Thanks.

Andrea

HI Andrea, I notice you haven't had many responses yet - maybe you need to ask the editors to tag this with Greece as well. I don't know how many people on the German threads know Greece well, maybe just a couple. Hopefully you will get some Berlin responses soon!

Oh forgive me, I saw your other post as well and did not see you'd already tagged this one. Apologies!

Hi Lavandula,

Thanks for your concern and for taking the time to write. I appreciate it.

I am asking for the names of restaurants and some "hidden treasures" of things to do and see in both Berlin and Rhodes. Hopefully, I can get some responses so we can plan our days.

Rhodes is beautiful. The main town has amazing and extensive historical sights with the Castle of the Knights and museums. There are many interesting walks about town and great tavernas to eat at but I don't recall their names. I do remember that I had the very best dolmades in Rhodes Town and I have eaten quite a few around Greece! We stayed in the historic area. We took the public bus on several days to Lindos - one of the best beaches in the world and a charming village. Very beautiful! We also took a boat trip to Symmi which was an exceptional day. Enjoy Rhodes!

A day trip to Symi would be on my agenda on a short trip to Rhodes,The harbour is beautiful. And either a drive or bus trip to Lindos too..Would not miss either on any visit to Rhodes.

Personally I would travel to Greece proper, as in Athens and trips to Delphi, etc.
I liked Rhodes also and it will be a vacation trip.
