LynnStephenson1288, thanks for your beautiful photos and the details of your wonderful trip. As others above have stated, it's fortunate that you are able to visit in 2020 and encounter such few tourists. Being from the US, and having had to cancel our September trip to the Italian lakes region, we are eager to hear of the experiences of others. We're interested to hear more of your ongoing trip!

Thanks for posting this! Your pics look amazing!! Can you tell me at what time of the day most of those photos were taken? I can't believe how empty it is. We are living in France right now so I'm thinking of Italy last week of Sept to mid Oct.

Vicky we are traveling in October - you can order an instant test online, and take it with virtual witness from the company and then get your results so you have them to print out. AA had three companies they recommended. If you go to Italy's covid info website there is a link to a form you need to fill out. Upon completion they send you a QR code to show when you arrive. If you are vaccinated you can go - just follow same precautions you would here. Good luck - I hope you get to travel soon.

Hi all and in particular LynnStephenson1288. Wonderful photo's, glad to hear you are having such a good time.
I am lucky enough to be visiting Italy at the end of this month but am slightly confused as to what official documents or QR code I need for Italy. I am fully vaccinated and have a special Dutch government app with my QR code to prove my full vaccination. Now I read that I also need a dPLF (digital passenger locator form) as wel as a Green Pass to be able to enter restaurants and public transport. Is this correct as far as you are aware? Thanks!

Elisabeth - have you come across the reopen EU website? You can put in your departure and destination country and it gives you all the requirements. Better still it's continually updated. There's an app too.
