Traveling to Cornwall
I am traveling from the US to the UK to meet up with a walking trip in Mousehole, Cornwall. I’m trying to decide whether to fly or to take a long train trip to Cornwall on the day I arrive (I’ve heard the train ride is beautiful).
It looks like there aren’t any flights to Newquay from LHR. However, I could fly from the USA to Dublin or Manchester and transfer to a Flybe flight to Newquay.
Any advice?

I'd fly in a day early (whether to London or Manchester) and take the train. I wouldn't take the train on my arrival day (5.5 hours from London and 7.5 hours from Manchester)
Newquay is still more than an hour from Mousehole so you'd have the hassle/expense of getting to your final destination. Penzance is about 4 miles away. So IMO flying wouldn't be the best option.
