traveling from Paris to Bayeux

Headed to France in September. Leaving by car on a Friday for Bayeax and the D-Day beaches. What should we see along the way and where should we eat while traveling. Leaving at 10 AM and want to be there sometime that day, but can be a leisurely drive. We love to eat. Also where should we eat along the D-Day tour days to view the channel and eat seafood. Which seafood should we eat?

For a fine dining experience go to the lovely one Michelin starred Pave d'Auge in the Norman village of Beuvron-en-Auge.

In Bayeux, Le Petit Bistro is a tiny place that has very good food.

We loved Lion D'Or in Bayeux for a fabulous dinner (they also have lodging).

Our favorite place to eat in Bayeux is Les Pommes. The apple tart is amazing! I wish I could fly there right now and order two tarts. Their fish dishes is always a winner and my husband loves their lamb and the goat cheese salad. I second Lion D'Or also. The fried prawns is wonderful!

Have a great time.

Hi; We too loved the www.liondor-bayeux.fr/ for both dinner and lodging. We had a small room looking out over the courtyard, glowing with flowers. They also have private parking. Enjoy iris1745/dick

<<We tend to travel on our stomachs.>>

Must be slow going....

We've had wonderful seafood in Arromanches at the place with the blue awnings right on the beach, to the left as you're facing the water. I think it's called Le Marin or Le Petit Marin.

And in Honfleur, l'Absinthe and La Fleur du Sel have wonderful seafood. The plâteaux de fruits de mer are awesome.

And in
