Traveling Alone

Traveling to Rome alone with a plan to meet up with friends in Florence for a wedding. Any points to make sure not to miss and any tips? Itinerary is pretty open for 5 days

Bringing your message back up "to the top" since it appears that you are pretty new, and may not understand about "clicking on your own name".
I'll also suggest that you arrange for some walking tours, and my provider of choice is Scala Reale (dot org)
They employee scholars as guides, but they provide lots of info in a diverting way. Their Vatican tour, and their Colosseum/Forum tour are especially recommended.
