Travel planning help!

Trying to make some preliminary travel plans for 2008. Would like some advice/input.
Thinking of the following:

5 day trip to either Rome or Paris or Vienna in late Feb/early March,

5 day "beach" type trip to Madeira Island pousada near Funchal and

2 weeks in Piedmont in October.

Here's my input - boy do I wish I could do these three trips! What's not to like about those possibilites?

Since I have never been there, I would vote for Madeira. But what season?

And I would add 3-4 days of some nicely contrasting destination.

Big difference between late February (especially for a big city with cold weather, rain and/or slush - - not appealing to me!) and October... almost regardless of the destination (in Europe).

Best wishes,

Rex

Hi M,

Are the choices

A. 5 days in Feb or 5 days in Madeira and 2 weeks in Piedmont

B. 5 days in Feb or
5 days on Madeira or
2 weeks in Piedmont

Commas are important, as is the distinction between "and" and "or".

Sorry, the Devil made me do it.
