crefloors, you are so right about the stress of time running out and I have so much still to do. Seems like something happens just before every trip I take. It is always intriguing to see what it will be! My trip is coming up next week and now I know that my pretrip surprise is.
I am at the point today where I think why am I bothering to go at all. This will pass the day of the trip as it usually does. When it comes down to just getting to the airport I can focus and it all seems better.

I use to and than didn't and consequently got nervous right before a trip. Now I do what I use to do. Pack the checkin suitcase and pack the carryon (with all my documents etc) and put both by the entry two nights before I leave. If I am flying Friday the luggage is packed and by the entry before I go to bed Wednesday night. I also make sure all phone calls have been taken care of on Wednsesday. Consequently on Thursday I can handle what ever happens, and there always seems to be something at the last minute.
