Annhig's suggestion for some romantic down time is a good one and Nice would work. On the other hand, Zeppole's suggestion of the Amalfi Coast is excellent and would be my choice. It is so stunning. When I went there the first time, I remember exclaiming, "If you couldn't fall in love here, you couldn't fall in love anywhere."

You might also consider Tuscany because it is lovey and well located for you, and could be very relaxing.

I would leave out Amsterdam because you already have three cities (though Venice is small, it is busy) and it would be nice to have some contrast.

I suggest you look at photos and get information about Nice, the AC, and Tuscany to see what you think.

Oh, go in September.

How about combining Paris Venice Rome and the Amalfi coast?

Hi sylvia,

I did a bit of browsing, and come up with this link for flights from Naples to Paris, in case you were interested in Zeppole's idea of following your stay in Rome with the amalfi coast.

http://www.portal.gesac.it/portal/pa...estination=CDG

you could then do the following:

Venice -Rome -amalfi [both transfers by train] then naples to Paris by plane.

if you were determined to fit in amsterdam, that would make sense either at the beginning or the end of the trip.

if you look at www.bahn.de, you can use it to look up any train journeys within Europe. Paris to amsterdam takes between 4-5 hours and requires at least one change.

hope this helps,

regards, ann
