we are traveling to Copenhagen and want to take the train and bus from the airport
to the cruise ship terminal.
i have contacted danish transport but only get replies in danish or directed to a site
that is no longer in service.
can some one advise f they have done this in the past.
can it be done easily?
after our cruise we want to take the bus and train back to the Richmond hotel where we will be staying for several days.

I don't know if this is any help:

or maybe
http://www.cruisecritic.com/ports/newport.cfm?ID=75.
Doesn't your cruise offer a shuttle transfer?

Depending on the cruise line, you can depart from Frehavn or... forgot the name of the 2nd port, sorry So first, find out from your cruise company.
Then, which day of the week? There is bus 26 going to both ports on weekdays, and only to one on weekends.
You can take any bus going to the Radhudsen (sp?) square, there switch to bus 26. All buses going from the airport have luggage compartments. We took bus either 5 or 5A just outside the airport exit, and I think bus 6 goes to the aiport too... but don't remember for sure.
You must have some local currency to pay, and I think we got change from the driver.
Somebody sent me an e-mail explaining all of the above in details, but several years ago, so it's all fuzzy. I think I signed up with the visitors bureau in Copenhagen, and they sent me this e-mail and a map of the city with bus lines. Or maybe there was a way to sign up with bus system? Either way, Google was my friend
And of course, Fodor's and Cruise Critic websites.

Ha! Found my report. We took bus 5A from the airport, per e-mail from Movia (in English!).

A few thoughts:
1) You can get door to door public transit directions at rejseplanen.dk. On the main page, there will be a UK flag - click on it for English.
2) I always see busses with cruise ship names at the airport. Might be worth checking with your agent or the ship to see if there is one for you.
3) The cruise ship terminals are relatively poorly served by public transit. There are busses, but they aren't that frequent. Me? I'd take a taxi and not think twice. A taxi should run DKK 350 or so - roughly $60.
4) You could consider a train/taxi combo. Take the train to Østerport, which is the closest station to the terminals, and get a taxi from there. Maybe DKK 50 from there.

For the trip back to the hotel, I'd take the bus or taxi to Østerport, and take the train to Vesterport, which is right by your hotel. Any S-Tog heading toward central station will work. Depending upon you ambition level, you could walk from several of the piers to Østerport, but it will take 10-20 minutes at least. If your pier is way out by Svannemollen, the walking will be much longer.
