transportation to hotel from airport
We are flying into the Florence Italy airport and I am wondering what mode of transportation does anyone recommend to get to your hotel or B&B. Is it somewhat easy to find your way to transportation from the airport? Is the airport large?
Thanks

As you leave the airport, just outside the doors, there are taxis waiting to take you into town. We've done this a few times and have had no problems, the drivers know the center and will get you there in about 15 - 20 minutes. As you go through the city, watch for your first glimpse of Brunelleschi's Dome. It is close and up front. Have a great trip. Also there is a bus at the airport that will bring you into the area near the train station. Not as convenient depending on the location of your hotel. BTW, the airport is tiny.

Additionally, you can take a bus from the airport to Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence. The ride is 20 minutes long. The distance is about 5K, or 3 miles. I don't know the cost, but found this bus schedule for you:

You asked about the airport size. It is small. You couldn't possibly get lost, because there is just one main corridor after you leave luggage pick up. The exit doors will be to your left.
I don't know if I would take the bus; unless your lodgings are in easy walking distance of SMN, and unless you packed very light, you will want to get a taxi from there to your hotel anyway. So, why not take the taxi? That's what I would do.
