Transportation from Lake Bohinj to Vršič Pass

Hi all - my wife and I are visiting Slovenia in early-mid Sep. We are planning a multi day hike from Vršič Pass to Lake Bohinj. We are parking our car at the Vršič Pass but will need to get back from Lake Bohinj after completing the hike. We have obtained some information from the arriva.si website, but it seems that it would take 3 bus changes (Bohinj-Lesce ZP-Kranjska Gora-Vršič Pass). There were some bus timings but they didnt look very frequent. Wondered if anyone may have additional information sources? Or how much a taxi might cost? many thanks

The website rome2rio.com shows one bus change with a total time of 3h45. The catch is that the second bus, from Bled, is only once daily. I do not know how accurate this info is, and I am not sure you can search by date.

How was the hike? We met quite a few Americans in October who were taking advantage of guided mountain bike tours, fly fishing tours, water rafting tours and hiking tours in the Northwest part of Slovenia.
