Transportation from downtown Dublin to Dublin airport

Two of us will spend night at Best Western Premier Academy Plaza Hotel @ Findlater Pl (off O'Connell St) downtown Dublin. We plan to take a bus to airport & need to be there by 8 a.m. day we leave for USA home. We will each have one piece of medium-size spinner type luggage (next size up from allowed plane carry on size) and one small hand carry.
Two questions:
1. Should we take Airlink 747 or another bus or will we be allowed on bus if we have this luggage? We have done this in other countries and prefer bus to taxi.
2. Where would we catch bus from BW Premier to airport? If no one has an answer here, hopefully BW Premier will be able to direct us.

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

Yes, you will be able to take the aircoach from outside the Royal Dublin Hotel at the top of O Connell St, which will be about a five minute stroll from your hotel. That is the last stop that the aircoach makes before the Airport, so it should be a quick trip there and will cost about seven euro. There will be no problem with luggage and the driver will stow it for you , and take it out when you arrive. The aircoach goes every twenty minutes and from very early in the morning. Enjoy your visit to Dublin.

marymai - Please help me too! You have answered my question about getting out of Dublin to the airport - we have a 6.30pm flight to Paris but will be handing back our transport at the airport midmorning. What do we do with our luggage? We certainly don't want to lug it all around with us when we take the bus into Dublin to kill time.
Would we be able to check it in for our flight so early (and is this a daft thing to do as it may be mixed up with earlier flights elsewhere?) or is there storage at the airport?

Thank you so much,
Tod

The Airlink 747 (double decker buses) I took had luggage racks on the lower level. As for the driver helping you stow your luggage (as marymai writes), I've never had the pleasure. Marymai must be a pretty lady to get that kind of treatment. I'm just a grizzled old man, so I don't get the VIP treatment

The first AM Bus leaves O'Connell near Abbey Street at 5:15 AM. At that time, it takes about 25 min to the Airport.

Nedsireland: Thanks for your additional comments. We'll be able to handle our luggage getting on and off the bus. I'm a female 72 and grandson will be 23.

Another question, would it be better to spend our last night at the Clarion airport hotel instead of downtown Best Western? That way we would already be at the airport. Possible it's a personal preference but I would appreciate comments. Right now I have a reservation at both places but will cancel one.
