Transport in Goriška Brda
Transport in Goriška Brda
My partner and I are traveling from Bohinj to Goriška Brda, where we plan to visit various wineries. We have rented a lovely place for two nights in Kojsko, but we would like to visit wineries in Medana and just across the Italian border near Podsabotin.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a car or a driver's license, and all the bike rental options we’ve checked cost €50 per bike per day, which is too expensive—not to mention that cycling under the influence is probably not allowed.
Our question is: What are our transport options? Are there daily buses running back and forth, or is it possible to take taxis, and how much do they cost?
We hope someone can help. Thank you in advance!

We stayed in Kojsko in early June last year and found eating options extremely limited so I recommend planning ahead better than we did. We ate at a few places in Smartno (and other places) during the day and ate some snacks in the evening. We loved Slovenian wine btw.
With only one day to see what you’ve nominated, check carefully whether buses will support your plans. Services were not frequent when we visited but we did a bit of hiking.
ps Medana is a local village but we didn’t make it there.

Thank you very much.
After a bit more research, we decided drop Kojsko and find a spot in Medana/Dobrovo, that are closer to the wineries we would like to visit. And then we must find some way to get to the winery near Lenzuolo Bianco by public transportation and/or taxi.
