Wondering if 2 hours is sufficient if transfering from BA in T5 to Cathay in T3? Luggage should be fine but wondering if this is enough time to get to one terminal to the other.
John,
I have never checked luggage through at Heathrow. But, according to Peter Greenberg, in his "Travel Detective Bible" published this spring, there is a "secret" four hour luggage window at LHR.
He states that if your luggage does not make a "legal" connection that is less than four hours, that the departing airline is relieved from the responsibility to deliver it to you at your destination.
Sorry if this is redundant, but it was not clear from your post if you were checking or carrying luggage.
I have had no trouble making 2 hour connections between T3 and T1, but T5 is substantially farther from T3.

In late May, we flew into Terminal 3 at 12:45 p.m. on AA. We had a 3 p.m. BA connection to Prague at Terminal 5. Our bags were checked through.
It took us less than one hour to get off the plane, walk to the bus, take the Bus to terminal 5, go through Customs and be inside Terminal 5. Enough time for a refreshing cocktail before our next flight. Good news, our bags made it to Prague, too.
Don't know about the reverse, but for us, it was a snap.

2hr should be enough to transfer, assuming you stay air-side (ie don't have to go thru immigration, pick-up/re-check luggage). You follow the sign for flight connection, take a coach, then go through security queue at T3.
I've never heard of 4hr luggage MCT, in fact my luggage made it ok with just under 2hrs between T1 and T5.

Thanks, I will have checked baggage via BA and hopefully they get it to Cathay. Understand that I still need to go thru security. Will be a Saturday morning so hopefully not too bad. Sounds like 2 hrs is sufficient.
