Transfers in Dublin
We are renting a car in Shannon and diving for a few days and seeing the country-side before settling in Dublin for the second portion of our trip. We are dropping the car at Dublin airport and then going to our hotel and then back to the airport when we leave. What is the best way for us to get back and forth? If we use a taxi what should we expect to pay/ be wary of?

CITYLINK BUSES RUN ABOUT 8 EURO PER PERSON AND STOP AT VARIOUS MAJOR HOTELS ETC.
WE PAID ABOUT 35 EURO (INCLUDING A TIP) FOR A MINI-VAN TAXI TO THE AIRPORT FROM THE BURLINGTON HOTEL IN JUNE OF 2004, BUT THERE WERE FOUR OF US WITH QUITE A BIT OF LUGGAGE.
I BELIEVE CITYLINK HAS A WEBSITE.

Aircoach (7 euro per person) picks up and drops off at major hotels in the centre. Airlink bus goes to Connolly station, Busáras (bus station) and O'Connell St (5 euro) and you can then walk or take a taxi to your hotel. Taxi from DUB to the centre is around 25 euro (more if your hotel is way south of the Liffey). There is heavy traffic all day in Dublin and you should allow at least an hour for the journey.

Because you'll be in Dublin for a few days, a Rambler bus pass might work well for you. Unlimited Travel for one (E5.00), three (E10.00), five (E15.50), or seven (E19.00) consecutive days for one adult on all Dublin Bus services including the Airlink service but excluding Nitelink, Ferry services & Tours.
