Transfer Bristol to Falmouth?

Hello. I am a 70 yr old women looking for a private transfer from Bristol Airport to Falmouth on a Sunday in June @ 2:00 PM. Do you think it is wise to wait for a Blue Taxi upon arrival? The lowest quotes I've received for the "book ahead" service are altCABs 260 GBP or Bristol Transfer 288 GBP. I know the public transportation is a lot less expensive, but I'm meeting people in Falmouth & need the most expedient option this time. Does anyone know the rate of a taxi upon arrival for this journey?

A taxi almost certainly would not be any cheaper than the two quotes you already have. That is almost 180 miles and probably a 4 hour drive plus the driver needs to get back to Bristol

Plus there is no guarantee a taxi driver would agree to take you on such a journey.

You can get the cost down to about £41 booking far enough ahead for some trains. You'll first need to take a bus or taxi to Bristol Temple Meads and change trains once or twice depending on which train you book.
