Train travel in Croatia

We are traveling from Ljubljana, Slovenia to Pula, Croatia. Is there a way to get there by train? It looks like we can travel to Rijeka, Croatia but need a way to get to Pula.

Take the train to Rijeka and bus (there are lots) to Pula.

According to www.bahn.de, there is a train from Ljubljana to Pula. Takes about 4.5 hours with 2 changes, wending its way through Istria. Might be quite scenic.

But it looks like there are more trains to Rijeka.

Thanks. I appreciate your help. Can you also suggest the best way to get from Rijeka to Split? Do you think there might be tours from Rijeka to Plitvice Lakes?
