Train Italia Reservations

Hi

I was wondering if we need reservations for trains in Italy during the month of September. We have to take trains from Siena->Pisa->Milan->Tirano. I am assuming the Italian Train Pass may not be a viable option if it is matter of only a couple of trains.

Thanks

Buy point to point tickets either online at www.trenitalia.com or when you get to Italy. You can't buy from Trenitalia more than 60 days in advance.
This is not enough travel to make a pass worthwhile.

Hi Putti,

Good advice from KY.

You might find it easier to get to Pisa from Siena by taking the SITA bus to Florence and then the train.

The bus terminal is in town. the train station is outside town.

See http://www.sita-on-line.it/ for bus schedules.

Putti/ Ira - Pisa-Siena is quicker and cheaper (€ 6.60) by train via Empoli (- rather than taking the bus to Florence). For details:

www.trenitalia.com

Siena station is only a short bus ride from the centre.

Hope this helps ...

Hi Steve,

It's almost a wash for time in transit, but the train via Empoli is cheaper by 5E.
