Train help: Venice to Munich

Next Monday, April 1st, my girlfriend and I need to take a train from Venice to Munich. As I understand it, there is only one direct route a day, but the other way to do it is to take a train from Venice to Verona and then verona to Munich. Since it is so soon am I too late to book online? And what site should I use? Raileurope-world.com said I couldn't book as its too soon to mail the tickets to me(is it not possible to have it emailed to me?) I've seen prices as low as about 92 euro for the both of us to $118 USD just for one person for this ticket. If I buy the tickets at the train station are they going to be significantly higher? If anyone has any insight into this it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

use www.trenitalia.com to book your trip, NOT RailEurope

if you need a tutorial as rto how to book online through Trenitalia go here:

www.seat61.com and click on "Italy" on the left-hand sidebar

Or you can wait until you get to Italy and use one of the ticket machines

The 13:34 direct train from Venice Santa Lucia to Munich is run by the Germans and Austrians on an 'open access' basis, with no Trenitalia involvement.

So DON'T use Trenitalia.com to book this train, as Trenitalia have only just started selling this 'competitor' service (after the initial enmity with DB & OBB was settled) and as far as I can tell they only seem to offer expensive full price fares.

You should book at the German Railways site, http://www.bahn.de/en , fares from €39, booking opens 92 days ahead, you print your own ticket.

It's a nice scenic run, see the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uucEm3op7uc which shows the train, the restaurant car (treat yourself to lunch and/or dinner!) and the scenery through the Brenner Pass.
