Train from Paris-Florence:"the robbery express"?
I have heard some scary stories about that specific route...can anyone share their experience? Does it live up to the notorious tales? Or is it just another train line where it just makes sense to keep your wits about you and your luggage close?
Thanks, as always!

I've only taken the night train from Florence to Paris and back (twice) and didn't experience "robbery" or good ol' pilfering/pickpocket-ing(?). Of course, one should stay alert and make smart decisions--as you would/should at home. For example, I had a small purse/tote filled with the important stuff that I would take with me when I go to the bathroom, food cart, or anywhere where I can't watch my stuff.

The only through train from Paris to Firenze ("Florence"
is the overnight train which I have used several times over the years. I've never had any problems or come across other people who've had problems. Most stories about robberies on night trains are urban myths. Make sure your compartment door is locked at night and take normal precautions with money and valuables: leave the diamonds and gold at home, and keep money and cards close to your body.
