train from London to Inverness

What is the most economical way to purchase train tickets from London to Inverness? we'd like to take the Caledonian sleeper train when returning from Inverness to London in mid-July.. Is the Caledonian train worth it? thank you

This is a very useful read from an authoritative source on all things rail https://www.seat61.com/sleeper-to-scotland.htm

Weve taken the sleeper from Glasgow to London back in 2017, and was perfectly comfortable, and I think the coaches have been refurbished since.

There are two discounts you can use - either the Two Together or if you are seniors, Senior Railcards.

https://www.twotogether-railcard.co.uk
https://www.senior-railcard.co.uk

Only you can say if something is 'worth it' - to you.
