Train from Bruges to Delft

We are travelling from Bruges to Delft on Sunday, July 31. I have looked at the train schedules and it appears that we will need to travel as follows:
Bruges to Antwerp Central.
Take taxi, train or whatever to Antwerp Berchem.
Antwerp Berchem to Rotterdam Cs.
Rotterdam to Delft.

Is there a train that will go from Bruges to Antwerp Berchem? If not, does anyone have suggestions on the easiest way to transfer from Central to Berchem? Have I missed an easier solution to the whole trip? I appreciate your thoughts.

www.bahn.de

(Click on Internat. Guest for English)

I found trains leaving every hour from Bruges, arriving in Delft 2 hours and 55 minutes later, with transfers at Antwerpen Centraal and Rotterdam Centraal.

I can't imagine what train schedules you've looked at. For train schedules throughout Europe, try www.bahn.de. Search for the journey from Brugge to Delft. There are hourly connections from Brugge, changing at Antwerpen Centraal and Rotterdam Centraal.

Thanks for your help. I was looking at other postings and came up with that web-site also and have already checked it out. We can go from Bruges to Antwerp Berchem, then Rotterdam and end up at Delft. I have been stressing over this, in fact it dawned on me that I had already posted a similiar question awhile back...sorry. Also as I was reading postings, I discovered that many museums in The Hague are closed on Monday. Well, we were going on Monday and my son really wants to go tot he Escher Museum. We are now on to Plan and we will continue on the train from Rotterdam all the way to The Hague on Sunday, see the sites, then backtrack to our hotel in Delft. So, I have another questions that I haven't asked before, does The Hague Central Station have luggage lockers? Thanks so much.

According to the Dutch Rail Site -

www.ns.nl

den Haag Central Station has a luggage locker as well as many other amenities including a Burger King, Foodcourt, Mr. Pizza, Soup4you, 2 banks, an Albert Heijn grocery store, a VVV, etc....

I discovered this info by doing a rail search that included den haag. When the rail itinerary came up, I clicked on den Haag Central, and there's all kinds of info on the station. Unfortunately, it is written in Dutch, but you can interpret some of the universal symbols.

The Escher Museum is great. Your son will definately enjoy it, particularly the virtual reality tour on the third floor. Enjoy your trip. Peace.

Thanks Robyn, I checked it out and you are correct. I know you took a trip awhile back and am wondering, did you buy train tickets as you went or did you buy them ahead of time? I am inclined to buy as we go in case we decide to make itineary changes. Barb

We spent 11 days touring through the BeNeLux region, so we purchased the BeNeLux Rail pass for 5 days, which cost USD254 for a couple, USD168 single, that was 2 years ago. Although we had an itinerary set before we left the states, the rail pass gave us the flexibility to alter our plans.

We've done some travelling in the Netherlands with point-to-point tickets and just bought them at the station before we departed. I'm not sure if you will need to go to the international counter at the rail station to purchase your tickets, since you will be travelling from Belgium into the Netherlands, or whether you can just go to the regular counter. Perhaps someone else knows which counter you would have to purchase from.

You can go to -

www.railsaver.com

input your itinerary, and the site will let you know the most economical deal for rail travel. Hope this helps with your planning. Peace.
