Train/bus from Interlaken to Lake Como?
Hello,
My boyfriend and I will be in the Cinque Terre and were planning on then heading to Lake Como. But after a friend's trip report, we have decided to skip Lake Como, using those four days to visit Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland. I have figured out how to get from Genova to Milan and on to Interlaken, but here is where it gets tricky:
We need to be at the Milan Malpensa airport by 10:30 am on the 9th of September to catch our flight to Athens. Since the journey back from Switzerland will be quite long, we were thinking we could come back the day before and spend at least one day in Lake Como (since there is a direct bus that goes from Como to the Milpansa airport).
So I have two questions:
1. Does anyone know how to get from Lauterbrunnen to Lake Como?
2. Or is there another nice town/area to stay the night before our flight to Athens that is not in Milan, but somewhere close enough that we'll be able to catch our flight?
(And if you have hostel/hotel advice throw that in too!)
Thank you in advance. This site has been so helpful!
