Train Accident in London
According to the latest news, two trains collided on near London's Paddington Station. I know the station, but I can't recalled exactly where is located. Any info? comments? A lot of posters were heading to London with the latest BA fares.

They were commuter trains (the Thames Link and the train in from Oxford. The trains were full - peak time at about 8.10am.
No tourists should be affected except for delays on trains in and out of Paddington. Paddington is where the Heathrow Express comes into, and I would say that this will not be running today (I think it usually comes in on the same tracks as the train from Oxford). This is the same piece of track on which there was a crash in 97. For the latest update check out www.bbc.co.uk - there are 6 dead so far but this will probably grow. Up to 100 people are trapped (it will be possible to know how many exactly will be on the train). Its a huge tragedy, and shake up for the train companies.
Heathrow Express trains are running today, Oct. 6th, from Ealing Broadway. I believe it is a free service today.
www.railtrack.co.uk should have more information.
Don't expect the lines into and out of Paddington to be open till the end of the week.

This is the latest update:
Heathrow Express Service Update
We regret that Paddington mainline station is currently closed to all rail services, including Heathrow Express.
Heathrow Express is providing services every 30 minutes free of charge from 0530 to 2300 hours between Heathrow and Ealing Broadway. At Ealing Broadway customers will be able to buy a ticket for onward travel into central London by London Underground. Travellers can now also pick up a free coach service from Ealing Broadway into Paddington.
Heathrow Express staff will be available at Ealing Broadway for help and assistance. While Paddington station remains closed, there will be no airline check-in facilities operating.
We hope to resume full services as soon as possible. For further updates, please call the Heathrow Express Customer Care Line: 0845 600 15 15, or visit www.heathrowexpress.co.uk.
.
If its not running, either use their free bus service from Ealing Bwy, or consider catching a cab to your hotel from there. The District Line also runs from there, but its quite a long haul in.
