I'm sure you'll be back one day and see Stonehenge as part of another itinerary, and then I hope you'll understand what I've been babbling about.

Just think what you can do with the money you've saved on that excursion... I see prime seats at a West End show calling you now. Enjoy Paris and London.

For future reference for anyone searching inner access to Stonehenge during the summer.....BOOK EARLY! I had faxed my request in at the end of March for the second week in July. The whole week, every single time slot (and there are five at that time of the year) is full. I just got off the phone with them and most of it was booked six months in advance.

No inner access for me

I did the tour that took you to Lacock, Bath, and Stonehenge. We were allowed inside and could touch the stones. We arrived at Stonehenge near sunset.

If this is your first time and you have always wanted to see it, I would definitely recommend this! I enjoyed it I am glad that I did the tour and would not trade this experience for anything in the world.

The inner access is great, but the weather may not be. We took our son, DIL, and grandson the Sunday before Memorial Day in 2007 and it was 48 F and sleeting. Since we had already paid, we went in, but didn't stay long. My son's camera froze and he had to thaw it our under the blower in the toilet.

Maybe you can make it next trip. I can always go to Stonehenge, but it's a personal thing.
