Go to your e-mail provider and send a message ASAP to Francesca Caruso at [email protected]. She is a wonderful tour guide. She charges 40 Euro/hour for any size group and is worth more than that, IMHO. Our group of 10 toured the Colosseum, Forum and Pantheon with her in April and found her to be totally outstanding.

www.contextrome.com. They conduct wonderful walking tours led by art historians,architects,archaeologists. You will find many recommendations for them on this board.(They were formerly called Scala Reale.)I've taken most of their tours and would be happy to answer any questions.

We used Vatican Tours and Beyond for the 5 hour tour of the Vatican, the catacombs (driver), Pompeii/Naples, and the "Ancient city". We were very pleased with all. They also were able to get Papal Audiance tickets and Scavi tickets for us. We would use them again.
