Doing a name search here does work. Found a number of reccomendations in this trail of posts and others. I want to write him for his rates. If they are just $100 for the day that's great.
Someone charging $300 is just far too much.
Thanks again
Paul

Hey, just to thank one and all for their help here. I've contacted Michael and he sounds exactly the person we are looking for. His price is very reasonable. We are really looking forward to seeing Paris through the eyes of an artist. My wife is a budding artist as well, so it should help to inspire.
Thanks all!
Paul

Michael Osman sounds very reasonable, so we are going to contact him. One question though, when he is with you for an entire day, I assume he joins you for meals...does he pay for his, or does his customer? Just want to make sure there are no awkward moments!

I found a really great guide named Linda. Her web site is at www.parisphototours.com. or you can reach her at [email protected] She does photo tours, but also more-shopping, just anything you want to see. She charged my husband and I $100 for half a day. We highly recommend her! Dianne

Virginia at Paris Insights customized a tour of Pere Lachaise Cemetery for my daughter and me that remains one of my most memorable experiences in France. I have not stayed at her apartment, but I might try it next time I am in Paris. We have recently stayed in apartments in the south of France and I liked the experience, having the space and being able to eat meals at home, especially breakfast.
