Tour company: France off the Beaten Track
Has anyone used or heard of this company? We're interested in possibly taking one of their tours-- Provence-- but I haven't been able to find any reviews.
Thanks.
Thanks.

We are taking their Provence tour in May. We booked our tour last year, and I know I read reviews at the time but can't recall where. They have been very responsive to my questions over the past months, so I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

We have done 3 of their tours (unfortunately not the Provence) & thought they were great.
We have done Burgundy (no longer available), Loire Valley & Bordeaux.
We like the tours for their emphasis on cooking & wine, in addition to sight seeing.

Thanks very much for both replies.
ardithl:I've telephoned (toll-free number) the company twice, left messages (is anyone ever actually there?)-- but have received no return call. Disappointing. I'll give it one more try.
wlcjr: I know that the wine/cooking aspect would be a real delight to many people, but not so much for us. (eating and drinking wine, yes; not a great deal of interest in cooking demos, etc.). Nonetheless, the tour sounds great, so I hope I get a response.
Whole thing may be moot anyway, alas. Big problem for us will be to try to find some not cumbersome way to get from ship disembarkation in Monte Carlo to train station in Avignon. Since we'll have luggage with us, and since we're "seniors," we're not comfortable doing train transport anymore. The desire to see some of Provence while we're "in the area" may come to naught. I hope not because it's been a long and deep wish.
Thanks again.

Poss, I have never tried to call; my e-mails have always been answered within hours. Are you using this contact information?
OTBP Travel Consultants are available to respond to questions and inquiries 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week by email, and from 10 am - 5 pm EST by telephone Monday-Friday.
Email: [email protected]
Telephone: 1-877-846-2831
Fax: 1-800-514-7219 or 1-603-853-7266
I have had the same dilemma with cruise luggage. Does the cruise line have an option for shipping some luggage directly to your home after the cruise?
Here is another tour company that I have heard of (but have not read reviews); they meet at the Marseille airport or Avignon TGV. http://www.european-experiences.com/luberon-france/

Here are two places that offers transfers from Nice airport to Avignon (and may also pick up at the port). They aren't cheap!
