Tivoli Gardens Rome

Wondering if there are suggestions as to what is the correct website for tickets to Tivoli Gardens.....it looks like I am getting diverted to tours, which i don't think I want. We are going in June and I understand it may not be necessary to book in advance, but I assume June is busy and so I would like to have the tickets. Thanks in advance.

There's more to see than just the gardens, so you'll need to decide which ticket you want to buy. There is a garden-only ticket that doesn't include entry to Villa d'Este, and a ticket that includes both. If you want to also see Villa Adriana and/or the Hercules Sanctuary, you'll want to buy the pass.

https://www.coopculture.it/en/produc...art-of-tivoli/ [garden only]

Scroll through the other ticket options in the "Ready to Buy" box at the lower right side of the web page.

Thank you Jean....I will look this over. Do you think advance purchase is necessary for June?

We don't typically travel to Europe in summer and definitely not since post-Covid crowds have exploded everywhere... so, sorry, can't say whether advance purchase is necessary. You could take the first steps to buy one of the different tickets/passes and see if you encounter "no availability."

Another question....we have lunch plans after we visit the gardens and I understand that getting a taxi may not be all that easy and so I may either take the train back to Rome or book a car in advance. I'm wondering if we should leave time to walk around after lunch and see the town of Tivoli if it's worthwhile? Any experience on that front?

You might want to read this:

https://www.thecrazytourist.com/15-b...-tivoli-italy/

We haven't done/seen everything on the website's list, but we have visited all three villas... Adriana, d'Este and Gregoriana. Adriana for the archeology and history, d'Este for the fountains, gardens and the palace interior, and Gregoriana (a park) for a walk and views of the cascate (waterfalls).

I haven't visited the Villa Gregoriana; Ifound the Villa Adriana the most interesting of the two I've seen, but I'm an archaeology buff.

The Villa Adriana is out of town. We took a bus there from the Villa d'Este.

Thank you very much. We will be having lunch in Tivoli and I was really just wondering if the town itself had any cute streets/shops to wander in and out of after we eat lunch.
