Three days - Provence or Burgundy?

I ended up with three days at the end of a trip prior to a flight out of Paris (I will have started there and stayed for 5 days). This will be at the end of 3 week trip. Any suggestions about either Provence or Burgundy? I will have a car.
I've never been to either area. I'm leaning toward Provence, but I get the feeling it's gotten pretty crowded and expensive? I will be there in early September.

Three days arent'much for Provence, especially when you have to include travel time; so I'd suggest heading to Burgundy. In three days you can see some of the major sights: Dijon, Beaune, Vézelay, Autun, the ancient abbey of Fontenay, he wine road, and perhaps a brief look into the wild Morvan. Burgundy is less crowded and thus more relaxing than being in what would still be high season in Provence.

I loved Burgundy, we had a car and did the wine road. We stayed at Grillon hotel in Beaune and loved it. We then stayed at Moulin Vieux Hostellier in Bouilland, we also ate at the michelin starred restaurant too!! Excellent!

Another vote for Burgundy. I absolutely loved my 2 weeks there last October. Beautiful countryside, wonderful food, and uncrowded. And also many wonderful sites to see. I definitely want to go back there.

I would do Provence. I went last year and loved it immensely. I understand why folks may say 3 days in not "enough" but it will be enough for you to fall in love!
