Mercy - thanks so much for your report on the Jewels of the Adriatic Trip. We are considering booing this for their July trip. We have never been on a smartours trip before so we were happy to hear you were quite satisfied. I am a little worried when you stated that it was not one of your best travels. What trips did you like better? Have you been on any other smartours?
Mike and Joan - Please give a report when you return as I am also very ansious to hear how you thought this trip compared with others you have been on.
My e-mail; [email protected]
Thanks
rosemary

I had to smile at your "85" steps. I think it's pretty hard to avoid steps in Dubrovnik. My villa room at the Hotel Argentina was 53 steps up. It was about 104 while I was there and I was accutely aware of those steps!

Very nice report Mercy.

Rosemary, I guess I should have put quotes around "most wonderful" place we have ever traveled. I have noted that many posters, liken Croatia to "Heaven & DisneyLand" rolled up in one package. (and that is certainly their right to do so.) It is, indeed, a wonderful place to visit, its history is amazing, and the people of the area have experienced many hardships and are recovering quite well. The scenery is beautiful and you can't describe adequately, the color of the Adriatic. But, there are many other places in the world that are also wonderful. It is all in the opinion of the person viewing their trip and their experiences on it.

IMHO, it was a great trip; was exactly as advertized; we had time to do our own thing on many occasions; we would take a smarTour again; but there are many other places in the world we'd like to travel to "before the clock stops", and I'll bet I'll think they are great too. I hope this "qualifies" my remarks, that I probably should have stated a bit differently. Ciao. mhm

mercy- I agree there are many places to see and you only can repeat a very few. We are anxious to see the new Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman movie "The Bucket List" as I think that might say it all! I am glad to hear that smartours delivered on everything it promised as I think that is what I was looking for in an answer. I think we will enjoy the trip. We went to China last summer and that was what I would call a cultural experience - no palaces that even come close to the spectacular ones in ST. Petersburg and other European cities but learning the culture of the people was amazing for us.
We also look forward to hearing from Mike and Joan.
Thanks
Rosemary
