I'm completely addicted since I discovered this site 6 months ago. My productivity at work's gone down, my family rolls their eyes when they see the site on line - I can only hope and assume my trip to Barcelona and Provence in 5 weeks will be every bit as good as all the great planning and advice that went in to it! I have another step to add...#9 do you have side addictions that have developed, like to zappos.com, mappy.com, tripadvisor.com???

Earlier in this thread I confessed to being an addict, but the more I read, the more I must come to terms with the depth of my addiction. My husband is a Fodor widower, my dog is a Fodor orphan, and I find myself looking at this board on the sly at work many times a day. People no longer understand me, as I use Fodor lingo in everyday conversation with non-Fodorites, such as DH, BTW, IMHO, and referring to airports by their code instead of the city name. I am delusional, as I see many of you as my personal friends, although we have never really met. I am hallucinating, as I have a mental picture of what you all look like. The good news is that most of you are pretty good looking.

I need help, and I'm ready to go into therapy now. Just tell me where in Europe the therapy session will be, and we will talk endlessly on this board about planning our trip.

P_M honey, you look pretty good too

This IS Therapy! No need to look farther.
We do it a little differently at our house- hee hee...
My DH ask the questions but will not actually go on Fodors and read the answers.
My dog, has his own screen name and will answer any question , as long as it is about his mama, or his bunny and where you can buy Pigs Ears. Of course, he is a NYC pup so he knows a thing or two about sidewalk cafes and dog parks.
My children are Fodorites..my grandchildren will be Fodorites, it will be a long happy Fodorite dynasty

Scarlett, in my mental picture of you, you look just like Vivian Leigh. I can't imagine why.... ;-)

Oh PM I'm so glad I read your post. I too found myself straying into Fodors at work and suffered unimagiable guilt at being so unprofessional, but now I realise I'm not aolne i feel so much better! I read your comment about 'mental pictures' with glee and realised I too have visins of you all. You are absolutely right Scarlett IS Vivien Leigh and I see you as a Jerry Hall sort of person (while she was still modelling of course!). What a gorgeous bunch we are! I wonder what 'picture' you have of me?
Marilyn is right (she, of course, is the spitting image of Monroe!)we are personal friends!
Scarlett love you are a gas! I now have a mnetal image of your NYC pooch (who wears a red bandana by the way)dispensing Fodors wisdom to his canine friends in Central Park. I wonder if I could persuade my one eyed cat Toby to do the same for the feline population? He already thinks we are his humans not he our cat and that we've been put on this earth by some feline diety to cater to his every whim. I'll try to have an audience with him later (after I've prepared his favourite meal to get him in a good mood) and get his 'take' on the subject.
OH MOMMAI've really 'lost the plot' this time. If my husband reads this he WILL have me certified! He already thinks I have a screw loose as I keep getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and keep disappearing into my office and chuckling to myself (as we in Europe are five hours behind the US I cant wait until morning to find out whats going on!) Oh well I hope they have the internet in the asylum!

Wow, Countrymouse, Jerry Hall?!?! Great, I will go with that!! If nothing else, I probably talk like her, as she and I are both Texans. You've made my day!!

Since your name is Countrymouse, I imagine you to look like a country singer, such as Faith Hill. If you go to www.faithhill.com you will see my mental picture of you.

I've changed my mind. Fodoring is not an addiction, it's a way of life, and that's a good thing!!

countrymouse, Toby is correct. You ARE his humans and your primary function on earth is to make him happy.

As for me being the spitting image of Monroe, I will let you hang on to your illusions and just be grateful you didn't say Manson.

Dear PM you sweet lil ol thing!
Faith Hill is in fact one of my favourite country singers and like her I have 'warbled' a bit in my time (more folk than country I must say, but very astute of you none the less!)and the hair colour is certainly right. I just wish i had her money!
I must confess I read your 'bio' on 'where do you live' Jerry Hall seemed most appropriate. I'm glad you approve!
Marilyn Manson NEVER! I agree with Statia,of course you are beautiful Marilyn. Scarlett says you are and she's never wrong. You are right about Toby he certainy rules the roost around here. I think I'd like to come back as a cat next time round. They have a great time as far as I can see.
Scarlett your pup sounds cute and no Joe (cheeky devil!) the opposite of Vivien Leigh is of course Grace Kelly! Am I nearer the mark now Scarlett!
Welcome to our 'madness'Traveling Sue it probably wont keep you sane but it will certainly keep you happy!
NO NURSE ITS NOT TIME FOR MY MEDICATION YET!
GURGLE! WIBBLE!
