Thanks for the tip John, I have been planning a trip to Europe for december and had been checking out the prices. www.travelocation.com by far had the cheapest prices, so I booked through them. It was so easy, and i'm happy about my savings!

Thanks so much, it's so nice to get helpful advice!

I think the last post should be ignored. Advertising or a troll. Who and where is John...

If you hang out at Cafe Brazileira, you probably see my ex-husband, Rogerio, all the time. He sits in the gay section (you probably didn't know there was a gay section) outside, next to the little bronze statue.

Do you know if Fatima Lopes, the clothing emporium, is still open? I used to go to impromptu fashion shows there years ago.

Obrigado,
Satan in Dior

Now I know why Lobo and I were getting the eye the other night... I too felt so happy to be there ;-) And I wouldn't be seen dead in Fatima Lopes designs!

Matt, I called Jaime in Pateo da Memoria to check his availability on 18th or 19 July and he said "tem uma casa ao seu dispor".
How is your agenda for these days? Mrs G would like to go there to fine tune the menu. After we receive a positive acknowledgement from you, Nikki and Isabel, we may go there and set up a definitive day.

lobo-
Where is Alandroal? I can't find in on my map. I'm sure I'm spacing out...
Also, anyone know about the Elevador da Gloria? Is it running?

when we were there 2 weeks ago it was not running. I don't remember what the sign said about how long it would be that way.

Alandroal is in the Alentejo, near to Estremoz and Borba.
It also is renound for the rugs which are manufactured there.
Lobo likes a restaurant A Maria in this town.
I think I am right.

thanks guys. yes, Barb, I did mean the church and am glad that it seems to be open. Sher, I knew that Lobo liked A Maria which is why I wanted to check it out but just couldn't find alandroal. Now that I know the general area I'll keep scouring my maps. Thank you! We leave in 2 days!!!!

Sher, you are right.
H&C, look for Estremoz --> Borba --> Vila Viçosa --> Alandroal
Alandroal is renound for rugs? Never heard. Isn't it Arraiolos?
H&C, it seems we are not meeting for the LDC, but drop me a note ([email protected]) and I'll send you my coordinates. Feel free to call and we may always meet for a coffee (hopefuly with Matt). Usually I have 10-11 pm free on working days. Larger availability during weekends.
