The Regent Palace

Has anyone stayed at the hotel Regent Palace Piccadilly Circus in London? Wonder what it is like and where it is located in London.

Hi Ruth, I stayed at the Regent Palace 3 years ago. The rooms were fine for just sleeping in. You couldn't really entertain in them because of the size. Also, I remember the bathrooms were down the hall which was ok. they were clean and all we needed for a few nights but definetly NOT the Ritz. I also recall that of the 3 nights we stayed there, the fire alarm went off twice. Single beds, and inroom coffe.

I stayed there 30 years ago...I didn't know if the place still existed! As previously stated, the room was small and it was ever so slightly run down. I'd say it is more for tourists than business travellers. I seem to recall the location was fine for walking tours...but I was younger then!
Felt like a room in a hospital. To take a bath you have to buzz and someone comes to the door and hands you a towel and leads you down the hall to unlock the bathroom.
Very clean and great location. Five years' ago a wonderful buffet breakfast was included but I don't think it is now.

Thanks to everyone for your most helpful input...We have changed hotels and found one with private bath in same local for just a little bit more.
