Yes I will start the Italy part next

The write up about the ship was to expect cruise like activities and experiences we went on at 1pm and got off 7:30am ... The food was open from 1-3 and then 8:30-10:30 ... Thankfully I had snacks for the kids!

I will start the report for Italy but as I am on the iPad can someone provide t link night

Thanks for the input yestravel, would you also recommend this area over Eixample? I am struggling to decide between 2 apts, the other is Universitat in Eixample. That apt just appeals more somehow, but I like the fact that this one is midway between the beach & the town.
How were the furnishings in this one, did it feel like an upscale apt??
Thanks!

Not commenting on any apartments, but I can vouch that the location on Argenteria is terrific.

I have stayed in that part of the Barri Gotic twice, once literally steps from Argenteria on Calle de Brosoli and the other time a bit further north and closer to Palau de Musica Catalana (I stay in very cheap and basic apartments so I'm not giving any recommendations!).

But just to add that I would much prefer to stay in the very character-ful La Ribera/El Born area rather than the somewhat sterile Eixample. Maybe that's just me though, but my tuppence-worth may help you decide.

Have a wonderful wherever you decide to stay, and post a trip report please!

I prefer that area over Eixample which is certainly a nice area. el Born is convenient to the beach. The apt we stayed in was fine, not fancy. It was very comfortable with nice furniture. It did not feel upscale compared to some others places we have stayed. When I was looking there was an apt in Eixample that I preferred in terms of style and furniture, but I went with a location I liked better.
