Just booked day and night tours at the Alhambra. The paperwork states that I can pick up the tickets in advance at any bank of "la Caixa". I see that branches of these banks are in Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. Since I will be in all three prior to arriving Granada, does anyone know if I can pick up the tickets in any of these towns or do I have to wait until I arrive in Granada?

Also, any other logistical information on visiting the area or the Alhambra would be appreciated.

I think you can do it at any of them, but it is incredibly easy to do it when you get to Granada if you need to. The visitors center for Alhambra is right on Plaza Nueva and they have a ticket machine right at the front where you just insert the credit card that you used to make the reservation and print your tickets there.

You need to recheck where you can pick up the tickets. From what we're heard the last week or so, La Caixa ATMs in Barcelona and elsewhere are no longer part of the system, only the La Caixa ATMs in Granada. Something about a contract dispute.

And yes, an American credit card will work.

To pick up your tickets you must use the SAME credit card that you used to purchase them online.
