You missed my point Thin. I'm not at all unhappy about my height. For being 5'2", 100lbs and with perfect proportion, I think I look just fine in capris. If I was my height and heavy, I'd agree, but that's not the case. I was just curious what YOU would say as you have absolutely nothing nice to say to anyone. Guess you took the bait. No surprise.

Oh and by the way, though I don't look it, I just turned 40. If I'm accused of looking "child-like", woo hoo!

For ThinGorjus - I suspect you are being taken wrongly.

My understanding is that you are a photographer, and are quite aware of imagery and how to make people look good; and, how to produce a beautiful, pleasing image. Fashion can be an art. Photography is certainly an art. A good eye for proportion, sensitivity to what works and what doesn't comes with time and an educated eye. And, an artist, by nature you will be quite perceptive to the visual effect, be it clothing, spacial relationships in a room, the movement of color and form in a flower arrangement, etc. I would think that you are where you are because of talent and a keen sense of design.

I appreciate your input into this forum. And, I'd love to see a finished Italy report! (It's off-topic for this thead, I know) I enjoyed reading it so much, and have printed it out for a future trip to Italy.

There are certainly people who choose to dress themselves for comfort and being practical, who don't care so much as to the visual presentation. There are people who follow fashion trends and don't care about the visual presentation they make to others. This is all part of one's fashion sense. If someone posts to this forum for fashion advice, they will get all sorts of answers. I do not feel that your input was meanspirited.

I'm in agreement with Sharon about ThinGorjus. My earlier comment about being sad that a US8 was considered fat was not directed at ThinGorjus. There are many people in the US who think that way and that's what I think is sad.

I honestly wish I had someone like ThinGorjus to help me develop my style.

I agree with SuzieC, I wear skirts everyday and have quite a time with finding slacks I feel good about wearing (i'm short). And Thin before you ask- I do not EVER wear snaeakers with my skirts! LOL - Hopefully you approve!

Speaking of shoes, I think that shoes can make or break the look or "visual presentation" when wearing capris. For me, I consider comfort as well as a good look when I select shoes for any outfit(s) - vacation or not.

Speaking of ankles, there's a very funny period film that stars Petter Sellers as a dishonest doc who uses his kittens as ink blotters, and Michael Caine goes faint at the sight of a woman's ankles. "The Wrong Box."
