Thalys Train Schedule troubles...any ideas?
Being the planner I am, I've been trying to find the times the Thalys train leaves from Paris to Brugge (or least as far as Brussels.) But everytime I punch in the dates, it says "no train this day". I find it hard to believe this and figure I must be doing something wrong! Does anyone have a website to help me? First-hand info won't be ignored either!! We need to leave Paris on July 11, staying in Brugge July 11 & 12. Thanks!

Sue - - you need me as your personal tour guide. It's - - you'll never believe this - - www.thalys.com - - www.sncf.com would also do the job.

And on the www.thalys.com website - - click EN - - that's for English.

Uh oh - - clearly my evil twin is back!

Best wishes,

Rex
You can also search on www.raileurope.com. That's where I found the schedule for the trip we just finished. Sidenote: We found the Thalys from Paris to Amsterdam to be a very positive experience. We liked it better than the eurostar in terms of ambience etc... And at Gare du Nord, at least, finding the train and your coach is very simple indeed.

Hi Sue,
As others have noted, the new schedule is not up...that's probably the cause of your problem. It should come up in April. If I'm at the Gare du Midi tomorrow (very possible, I'll see if a new print version is out; sometimes they're available before the schedule is on the web).
Whatever, I strongly suggest you take the Thalys train only as far as Brussels; that will give you a lot more choices. Then get a ticket from Brussels to Brugge. RT between Brussels and Brugge is as little as $12 second class, although I usually go first class as the trains to Brugge get very crowded. They run about twice an hour; from the Gare du Midi it's something like 12 and 37 after the hour. They use the nices trains for the Brugge runs. The Belgian railway site is www.b-rail.be, I believe.
Btilke

As others have noted the summer schedule isn't posted yet, so the website thinks "it has no schedules".

More imporant, European train schedules change relatively little from season to season or year to year. There are some very seasonal markets (e.g. ski areas) which may reduce in summer and increase in winter, etc.

Overall, though, and I'd think this largely the case with the Thalys services, the changes are usually slight. The schedules for "this week" will likely work pretty well for planning purposes. Obviously you'll want to double check once the summer schedule is available.
