Thalys booking issues...please help

Is anyone having trouble with Thalys booking? I go to the website, insert my dates, choose paper ticket (so I can print them at home) and hit submit (or whatever). Then, I get an error message in french that says I've been on the website too long and please re-enter the site. I have tried many times and keep getting the same thing. Is the website down? Does anyone know? I get the message, and I assure you, I've only been on the site long enough to enter my info (less than a minute). I've been waiting forever to book these tickets, and it's finally time, and I can't do it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

What web site are you using - you can use www.thalys.com or if going from France www.voyages-sncf.com or from Holland www.ns.nl or www.high-speed.nl (not sure of correct spelling of last one) - all have same info and one may be easier to use.

where are you traveling between? Sometimes there are easy alternatives to even taking the Thalys train at all.

I've done the Ticketless option on Thalys.com a few times, twice this year... no problems.
Someone usually suggests to try clearing your cookies then open the browser and start fresh...

I've cleared my cookies, tried more than one computer, etc. I want to take the Thalys train because it is the fastest way to go Paris to Amsterdam. I'm pretty computer and internet literate, so I'm really having trouble figuring out what to do. I've tried both paper and ticketless...it just keeps giving me an error message. Does anyone have any ideas?

keep topping the thread so others see it in the list of current threads on the left - perhaps a weekday reader will know.

It would help to lay down the facts first. PalenQ mentioned several possible places you could have used.

1. Which site are you using?
2. Is "on website too long" the only error message you are getting?
3. What is the total amount of attempted purchase in Euro?

1. www.thalys.com
2. The message is in french, but when translated, it just says I've been on the website too long and to please try again.
3. I can't even get to the point of finding out how many euros.

I tried it using dates in September (just a random date) and it worked, but for Oct. 8th, it won't work.

I have bought Thalys tickets from www.thalys.com and www.voyages-sncf.com. I like buying from the SNCF site. I don't like the www.thalys.com purchase sequence.

I just looked at thalys train on Oct 8th at www.voyages-sncf.com. There are still many SMOOVE tickets at 38.80EU.

Hi superjules75, I was also waiting to book Thalys tickets for my m-i-l and her friend for 7th Oct on thalys.com Amsterdam to Paris. On my computer the website wouldn't let me choose a date from the calendar as all of October was crossed out....still is. The trains for October weren't showing on any of the other booking sites I know but eventually showed up last Saturday on tgv-europe.com so I booked, no dramas. I got smoove tix for €35 each, printed tix already. I'm from Australia and always choose 'other country' at the bottom of the home page and then when it asks me if I want to go to raileurope.com.au, I click on 'no continue on tgv-europe.com'. I hope this helps.
