About three and a half hours, with trains approx.every hour from Paris.
Cost depends on what time of which day you travel.
Check www.sncf.fr for more info on prices etc.

Kevin..

I don't want to start an argument here and I agree with you that the Thomas Cook timetable is reliable, but I was suprised when you stated the journey time is two and a half hours.
Could you tell me which trains take only two and a half hours, as the fastest ones I can find take 3 hours 21 minutes, and most take just over three and a half hours.

Rail Europe's train schedules say that the TGV takes about 3 1/2 hours from Paris to Avignon. First Class is $106.00 - Second Class is $83.00. There's a train station right in the Charles de Gaulle airport, which makes it easy. You just get off the plane and onto the train and by the time you get to Avignon, your hotel room is ready!
