ten days in Sevilla and area

Would welcome suggestions for itinerary for early Oct. for Sevilla and area. (Cadiz, Cordoba, etc) Hoping to beat the heat by waiting til early Oct. I think we should base ourselves in Seville and do day trips. If you spent 7 to 10 days in the area and can suggest trips for us we'd be grateful. Likely have to land in Madris and would see Toledo in that case. Any thoughts on visiting Toledo if I am not keen on Madrid?

It depends on what you want to see and experience, but IMO, an ideal itinerary for Andalusia is 4 nights in Sevilla, 3 nights in Granada, and 2 or 3 nights in Cordoba, with -- time permitting -- another night or two for Ronda or Malaga.

And I think Madrid easily worth 4 full days, with another 2 to 3 full days for Toledo, another day for Segovia, etc.

If you look, you'll find a TON of trip reports and planning threads here on Fodor's that should prove of value.

I would spend 4 nights in Sevilla with a daytrip to Cadiz or Ronda (Cadiz is my preference), 2 in Granada, 1 in Cordoba and 3 in Madrid with a daytrip to Toledo. 3 nights in Madrid is a bare minimum, it's a fantastic city.
