Temperate place to spend winter months?

Hubby and I are retiring next year. Of course Arizona and Florida have been considered as places to "park" to get out of the cold - probably 3 months. Any place in Europe where the weather is decent where one could spend Jan., Feb. and Mar.??

Southern Spain if you don't mind a little rainfall (and sometimes, but very rare, even a snow shower that lost its way) and an average temp of about 58°F. <BR>Canary Islands if you want it to be a little warmer (I definitely would prefer the latter!).

We would retire in Nerja, Spain in a heartbeat if we didn't have family ties in the US. I haven't been there in the months you are talking about but because it is situated between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea it has good climate year round.

Cyprus. Beautifully temperate. They speak the language and publish newspapers in it too.
