november sounds like a good time. florence is beatiful. go!! stay longer than just one day.

Bob, <BR> <BR>Skip Florence? Never! If you can, add a couple of days. And don't leave without getting an eyeful of the city from the Piazale Michaelangelo (not sure I'm spelling this right) -- a plateau along the banks of the river. Everything they say about the Tuscan sun is true. Go in the evening, an hour before sundown. Bring lots of film, because you'll find yourself unable to stop taking pictures! <BR> <BR>Plus, in you're there on a Sunday, try to catch a football (soccer) game. Even if you're not a follower of the game, it's an astonishing experience watching the home side, Fiorentina, play before their fanatical fans -- but, rest assured, it's perfectly safe for women and children, too. <BR> <BR>Bobby <BR>
