Techies, please help a poster post...
A few weeks ago I started experiencing a problem whereby I would type my reply, then hit the "post my Message" button. Nothing would happen. If I waited a few minutes, I would get an error message. I have since discovered that if I click my mouse furiously for about a minute, eventually I can post. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? Quite frustrating! Okay, here I go, clicking about a thousand times......

Goldwynn- I believe that a thread has been "locked down" by Fodors when there's no post a reply button available. I guess it's a way of stopping threads that they feel are inappropriate. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

jbee and goldwynn: Yes that is what has happened when you don't get a "post a reply" option. Fodors editors freeze threads that may have useful advice but also have some "problem" posts. If the whole thread is deemed inappropriate they just nuke it - but sometimes they want to leave the thread readable w/o letting new posts.
This happens more often over on the USA forum where there is one really psychotic individual -- he uses about 10 or 15 different screen names and posts the craziest garbage and then logs back on to agree w/ himself trying to convince the original poster that a bunch of people are giving the same advice. Once he latches on to a thread it is really a lost cause so the editors freeze it.
