Haven't been there in a century! If nothing has changed, it would still be my 3-star 1st choice in Rome. Very small and intimate (must be the smallest 3-star in Rome), superb location. Very hard to get reservations (twice, even though I went about it wity 4 months to spare, I wasn't able to secure a room).

My wife and I stayed there last summer. Outstanding location (central but relatively quiet, maybe a hundred meters from Campo di Fiori), nice people, nice facility. We stayed in their new "annex" (across a very small piazza that doubles as a parking lot) and enjoyed a large room with a very large bath and privacy. They will not book more than 6 months in advance and they fill up quickly once they open booking.
We'd stay there again without hesitation. If you go, say hello to Simone.

We stayed there several years ago and really liked it. The room was large and very quiet - we had a room in the back. It is in a very central location, walking distance to the Piazza Navona. I enjoyed my stay there much more than my previous stays at a hotel near the Spanish steps. I would definitely go back there again.

Hi Ronald,
I live and work in Rome as a tour guide and this hotel is located right by my office. I have had many clients who have stayed there and who have thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Most importantly it is in a wonderful location. As you exit the hotel you turn right and immediately right again through a little porchway and you will find yourself right by Campo di Fiori. In the day this is a bustling market selling wonderful fresh foods, herbs and spices and flowers. At night the piazza is filled with people dining or just wandering around the piazza. It is one of my favourite spots as it is more "local" than some of the larger piazzas. Do try a glass of wine at the Vineria or Taverna del Campo. Both have excellent wine lists and are not expensive. A great way to pass some time sitting in the piazza, sipping good wine and eating pistacchio nuts as you watch the passing parade.
Close by your hotel is the restuarant, Trattoria del Pallaro. This is a great Italian experience. For a set price of about E18 you will be brought out many dishes of Italian food including antipasta, pasta, bread, desert, limoncella etc. Great fun listening to Mama and Papa arguing in the typical Italian fashion.
Also try the wonderful gelato at Blue Ice, recommend Variegated Nutella, Amerena and all other flavours!!!!
Feel free to email me direct (or anyone else) if I can be of any further help with your travel plans.
Regards
Marianna

Haven't stayed there because I could never get them to respond to my inquiries. Every time I called (starting several months prior to my arrival date), I was told "too early." I finally asked them when I should call, and when I called on that date they were partially sold out. When I decided to accept the partial reservation and sent my credit card info, they never replied with a confirmation. I gave up and stayed somewhere else.
