Oh thanks for your kind words of encouragement, Doc. I do, I do love 'em up at HQ. Just wish they could see me here jumping up and down and waving and imploring "send mine, send mine, please." I've been waiting SO long!

Change me from a 'have not' to a 'have'. Received the famous padded envelope two days ago with the pin. I did not even send an e-mail to request a new one, it just happened. Kudos to Danny and Aisling.

Still on the got empty envelope list here. I sent an e-mail last week to the editors asking that they send one in the padded envelope. I leave on Sunday! Crossing my fingers!

Belated thanks to Danny, Aisling et al. First-rate team to take advantage of the initial, troublesome mailing and demonstrate their professionalism. Just returned from holiday to find "the pin" ... very nicely done indeed.

Ed

Have any 'pinheads' run into each other since getting their Fodorite badges?

Rex, I got mine the first go-around and I have no idea if it was in an envelope, an envelope with a hole or a padded envelope, but I intend to wear it proudly (am now, as a matter of fact--on my purse) in Paris in April. Somehow I missed your tallying post (I was away)

Why do you all want to go around being walking billboards for Fodors? Why do you go through so much trouble not to look like tourists, buying unfamiliar shoes, giving up bright colors, speaking in whispers, and then wear some tacky pin that advertises an American travel guide book series?
