Yes, stop for a few hours in Luzern to see the scenery, at least. Folks put their suitcases in luggage lockers at the train station when they stop by for a few hours.>
carry some one franc or two franc coins or whatever is required to put into the lockers - I've asked for change in Lucerne station once and newsstands, etc said "No" - there should be a change machine though and the lockers can be filled IME - there is a manual left-luggage I believe however.

Thank you all so so much! I'd love to stay in Vevey but there are less options and I am already close to my travel date.
So I am looking to stay in Lausanne but in the Ouchy area which I understand is closest to the lake.
Any thoughts on either Beau-Rivage or Château d'Ouchy hotels? I love the pool, tennis courts, and wherever the food is better!
